Being Blunt

I could sing it to you all night, all night
If I could, I’d make it alright, alright
Nothing’s stopping you except what’s inside
I can help you, but it’s your fight, your fight

– U2, “Get Out of Your Own Way”

You know exactly what you need to do in order to be exactly what you want. You know how to be successful. You know the steps that you need to take. You know precisely what it looks like when you’ve arrived and you know the path to get there.

So don’t kid yourself.

You don’t get a 100% return without 100% percent investment. Energetically, it doesn’t work that way. You are holding yourself back, budgeting only 30% to your dream because it seems safer. Don’t be a miser with yourself. You say that you are afraid of failure but in fact, you are afraid of success, of fully committing and immersing yourself in your creation. You are incredibly talented, gifted, worthy. You are a creative force and a being of light. That you have genius to share with the rest of the world. That you have artistic integrity and a soul to express.

It feels safer to hold yourself back. It is more comfortable to recreate the familiar patterns, to stay on the same track, even if the scenery has changed.

It is easy to blame life circumstances on the universe, or God, or invisible entities working against you. Or to say that it is unfair, that you haven’t been given a chance. But the truth is that you have free will. The truth is that you have chosen everything in your life right now. The truth is that you are the only one who is standing in your way.

There is no limit to the brilliance that is you. You are the hand on the light switch.

I can easily commit that small amount of time, seems so much more attainable that 20 minutes or longer. We of such a rushed society.
