Another green one – but with a surprising green twist – not kale or spinach but parsley! You need to try adding more parsley to your diet – and not just as a garnish sprinkled occasionally over a mound of lasagna. Parsley tastes fresh, green and exciting when combined with the right fruits in a smoothie.
Parsley is a potent detoxifier and anti-inflammatory agent. It is crazy full of organic iron, potassium and magnesium. Parsley can be used to treat gastrointestinal disorders, hypertension, cardiac disease, urinary disease and diabetes. It can help with bad breath, skin problems and arthritis. It is also considered a powerful anti-cancer superfood.
Parsley is downright seductive when blended with peaches. I like to use locally picked peaches, frozen in September and ready to use all winter long in recipes. Peaches are high in vitamin C, A and other nutrients.
Add pineapple for sweetness and a boost of bromelain, which helps to combat inflammation and aid digestion. This smoothie us great for your gut any any issues you may be having with your digestive system.
